Exercise 10 — Tunnel with Tube

Applies to: RH – F, FL, T, MT; Level V, A, and B
Points: 5 p (A, B) / part of V total

Obstacle Spec

  • Stiff entrance, diameter 0.50 m, length 3 m
  • Tube at exit: soft material, length 3 m

Permitted AC/VC

  • 1 AC and/or VC for “go through”
  • 1 AC or VC for “stay” (after exit)
  • 1 AC or VC for GS

Execution

  1. RDT assumes GS in front of obstacle (D off-leash).
  2. At AC/VC for “through”: D goes confidently through tunnel.
  3. After D exits tunnel: DH gives AC/VC to “stay”.
  4. At TJ instruction: DH goes to D, ends exercise with AC or VC for GS.

Evaluation — Faults

  • Insecure, hesitant, and/or hectic going in or through → devalue
  • D does not leave tunnel → Insufficient
  • D does not stay after AC/VC → Insufficient
