Exercise 1 — Reporting In and Social Behaviour

Applies to: All UO/GW tests (V, A, B)
Points: 10 p (V) / 5 p (A, B)

Setup

  • Two circles: inner radius 2.0 m (group stays inside), outer radius 3.0 m (DH walks along outer).
  • Group: exactly 3 persons + one of the two tested dogs (on leash, serving as group dog). The dogs alternate roles — one is tested while the other is in the group, then they swap.
  • D remains on leash throughout.

Permitted AC/VC

  • 1 AC or VC for “Heeling” (each start)
  • 1 AC or VC for microchip check

Execution

  1. Two RHTs go to the registration area at TJ/TC instruction.
  2. On-leashed dogs take GS independently.
  3. Register; microchip is checked.
  4. Social behaviour in the group is checked.
  5. One dog serves as group dog, the other is the tested dog (then they swap roles).
  6. DH moves along the outer circle; group remains in inner circle (~1 m distance).

Evaluation

  • D must prove social abilities in the group.
  • Lack of concentration and additional AC/VC devalue accordingly.
  • Aggression + attack on group dog or person → disqualification.
