Directability at Distance

Applies to: RH – F, FL, T, L, MT; all levels
Points: 10 p (V) / 15 p (A, B for F, FL, T, MT) / 20 p (A, B for L)

Testing Area

• F, FL, T, MT: tables
• L: backpacks/buckets
• Level V: 1 marked start point + 2 tables/backpacks 40 m apart and 40 m from start (triangle)
• All levels: marked centre 20 m from start. A/B add a third table; use the official layout (rules p. 23). Tables: 100 × 100 cm, 60 cm high, no wrapping or markings; non-slip surfaces permitted.

Permitted AC/VC — Level V

• 1 AC and/or VC to go to each marked point
• 1 AC and/or VC for remaining in place
• 1 AC or VC for recall
• 1 AC or VC for GS

Permitted AC/VC — Level A and B

• 1 AC and/or VC for “going out to the middle marker”
• 1 AC or VC for “remaining in place”
• 1 AC and/or VC for running to each table/backpack
• 1 AC for jumping on and remaining (or remaining at backpack — L)
• 1 AC or VC for recall
• 1 AC or VC for GS

Sequence and execution

V/A: DH announces the table order. B: order is drawn.

1. Start in GS, off leash. At judge’s release send D to the centre marker, 20 m away, without leaving the starting point.
2. Stop D at the centre for at least three seconds.
3. Send to the first table; D mounts and stays approximately three seconds. Repeat for the second table; A/B also use a third.
4. Recall from the last table to front sit, then GS.

DH may turn towards the send and take a directional sidestep without leaving the starting location. The 2026 guideline permits either one combined jump/stay command or two separate commands. If the correct table is not reached after at most three AC/VC, the judge decides about proceeding to the next table.

Scoring limits

Centre omitted, drawn order not followed, or DH leaves the location → Insufficient, not automatic termination or zero. Early departure from a table, extra commands, poor lines, hesitant mounting/positions, slow recall and faulty finish devalue accordingly.
