Exercise 8 — Directability at Distance

Applies to: RH – F, FL, T, L, MT; all levels
Points: 10 p (V) / 15 p (A, B for F, FL, T, MT) / 20 p (A, B for L)

Testing Area

  • F, FL, T, MT: tables
  • L: backpacks/buckets
  • Level V: 1 marked start point + 2 tables/backpacks 40 m apart and 40 m from start (triangle)
  • Level A/B: 1 marked middle + 3 tables/backpacks at prescribed distances

Permitted AC/VC — Level V

  • 1 AC and/or VC to go to each marked point
  • 1 AC and/or VC for remaining in place
  • 1 AC or VC for recall
  • 1 AC or VC for GS

Permitted AC/VC — Level A and B

  • 1 AC and/or VC for “going out to the middle marker”
  • 1 AC or VC for “remaining in place”
  • 1 AC and/or VC for running to each table/backpack
  • 1 AC for jumping on and remaining (or remaining at backpack — L)
  • 1 AC or VC for recall
  • 1 AC or VC for GS

Execution (Level A/B)

  1. DH sends D to the middle marker first.
  2. D remains at middle.
  3. DH sends D to 1st table (in drawn sequence) — D jumps on (or runs to — L) and remains.
  4. Same for 2nd and 3rd table.
  5. D recalled from 3rd table; comes quickly, sits in front; GS.

Elimination

  • Middle not shown → Insufficient
  • Drawn sequence of tables not followed → Insufficient
